Anthem was voted " Best Master Planned Community in America" by the National Association of Homebuilders in 2001, and it's easy to see why. Nestled in the foothills of the high Sonoran desert, the 5,800 plus acre community of Anthem is a city unto itself, offering a beautiful guard gated golfing community as well as warm and inviting traditional neighborhoods. Entertainment options abound, starting with the 400,000 gallons of water flowing through the aquatic playground known as Big Splash Water Park. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy ten miles of walking and biking trails as well as a lighted softball stadium, sand volleyball, soccer, full and half court basketball courts, Little League baseball and an in-line hockey rink.

The kid-sized Daisy Mountain Railroad winds through the park and past the four acre catch and release fishing lake, fully stocked with over 40,000 fish.

The 43,000 square foot Community Center offers indoor basketball, an impressive three story indoor rock climbing wall, weight training and cardio circuits featuring state of the art Netpulse machines as well as aerobics, dance, kickboxing and yoga classes. Education is a top priority at Anthem, with two elementary schools, featuring state of the art computer lab and advanced teaching tools such as CD-ROM and closed circuit system applications. The new high school is set to open in 2004. In the 2000-20001 school year, three Anthem teachers were honored as "Teacher of the Year" by Deer Valley Unified School District. Students scored well above the national average on the Stanford 9 test over the last two years.

Anthem has teamed with John C. Lincoln Health Network to provide healthcare to the community. There will be a $2.5 million health center at Anthem which will include an urgent care center, radiology and physician suites. Osco pharmacy is already a part of this medical campus.

Anthem Corporate Center will be a 60+ acre professional office complex planned for development in late 2003. Anthem Marketplace is a 128,000 square foot neighborhood retail center with all the amenities and services one might expect, from daycare to dry cleaning.
